Aaron Johnson: Hello, my name is Aaron Johnson. We are here at the Photonics West Show 2012. I wanted to introduce myself and our company in case you missed us at the show this year.

I work for Accumold. Accumold is a micro-injection molder. We have been around for about 25 years. You might say "What does an injection molder have to do with photonics?" We believe it has quite a bit to do with photonics.

As you can imagine, the world of electronics or even photonics is getting smaller. That plays into our expertise. We have been micro-injection molding for over 25 years and a large portion of our business is actually in micro-optics.

It is becoming more and more common for conversion from glass to plastic for photonics or telecommunications, imaging, cameras, you name it. Plastics and optics is becoming more and more common every day.

Mixed with the micro-technology that is in demand it fits into our niche and our expertise quite well. We are molding everything from about 3½ inches in diameter down to something that is only 800 microns tall and everywhere in-between.

Usually there are some tight tolerances or some exotic geometry to it as well as material specifications. If you are designing your next product and you are in need of a very small component, whether it be the mechanical piece, part of the imaging system or a housing or connector of some kind I encourage you to stop by our website; www.accu-mold.com or contact us via the web.

We would love to talk to you about your next project. Again thank you for taking the time to listen and see what we are all about.
