4.2 Megapixel Scientific CMOS Camera: Photometrics Prime

The Photometrics Prime is the first intelligent scientific CMOS (sCMOS) camera to incorporate a FPGA-based Embedded Signal Processing™ engine (ESP) that enables a number of real-time processing features. Utilizing sCMOS sensor technology, Prime is and an extremely versatile imaging solution for life science imaging applications such as microscopy and high-speed ratiometric imaging.

The Prime sCMOS camera features high resolution, high sensitivity, extremely low noise, high frame rates, and excellent dynamic range. The PrimeEnhance™ feature quantitatively increases the peak signal to noise ratio by 3x-5x, which increases the clarity and quality of the images. The Prime Locate™ characteristic is meant to dynamically analyze the acquired images and reduce the data generated during high speed super-resolution imaging.
