Luna Technologies Announces The Precision Reflectometer™ 4400
Luna Technologies, a division of Luna Innovations Incorporated, announces the expansion of its fiber optic test and measurement platform with the release of the Precision Reflectometer™ 4400 (PR™ 4400). This portable, user-friendly instrument is a state-of-the-art tool for measuring reflections as a function of distance in an optical component or assembly. In a single sweep, the system gives the user unprecedented optical-module inspection and diagnostic capabilities by providing the ability to locate and troubleshoot connectors, fiber breaks and more. The PR™ 4400 features resolution as low as 40 microns and the ability to view an entire assembly up to 2 kilometers in one scan with zero dead zone.
"The precision reflectometer has been a mainstay in fiber labs and manufacturing floors for years. The PR™ 4400 comes configured with an integrated internal tunable laser source and a laptop. The product is available immediately, with delivery in six to eight weeks.
