Lumics Introduces 300W Aircooled Diode Laser System

Berlin, Germany — Lumics a manufacturer of diode laser, fiber laser and laser diode components announces the fiber coupled LU09xxC300 high power diode laser system with 300W of optical output power. The optical power is delivered from a fiber bundle of 45 single emitter laser diode modules which are terminated into a SMA connector.

The pump laser source is available at 915nm, 940nm and 975nm wavelength. The system uses hermetically sealed TO220 fiber coupled single emitter diodes to operate over wide ambient temperature range from 5 to 35 degree C. The diode lifetime is specified with up to 100.000h MTTF.

The dimension are specified in a 19", 2U rack mount with a depth of 316mm. The electrical supply input is 110V / 220V AC. The 19" rack mount unit is equipped with a forced aircooling system, power supply and RS232 interface. An optional interfaces with analog input is available. For system integrators Lumics offers OEM version which can easily be used in an existing or new production equipment.

The laser is designed for direct diode industrial laser applications such as a plastic welding or for pumping of Ytterbium fiber laser systems.

The high performance of the device is based on Lumics proprietary chip technology which ensures very high reliability with a breakthrough in laser facet passivation.
