Lockheed Martin To Showcase Aculight Laser Products And Capabilities At BiOS And Photonics West 2009 Shows

Lockheed Martin will showcase its Aculight® laser products and capabilities at the Biomedical Optics Exhibition (BiOS) and Photonics West 2009 trade show, on January 24-25 and January 27-29, at the San Jose Convention Center, in San Jose, CA. Lockheed Martin Aculight laser products are used in demanding applications ranging from medical research and spectroscopy to Laser Detection and Ranging (LADAR) and sensing.

"As we bring to bear the resources we have gained from joining the Lockheed Martin family, it's an exciting time for our customers," said Don Rich, president of Lockheed Martin Aculight. "Photonics West is a great opportunity to showcase the high-performance laser systems and expertise for which the Aculight brand is known with the technology and leveraged resources of Lockheed Martin."

At Photonics West booth #1434, Lockheed Martin Aculight will feature:

  • The Aculight Perseus™ family of pulsed fiber lasers, including its most compact, efficient, low-cost model to date, Perseus-TS. Ideal for applications such as laser radar, surveying and surveillance, Perseus lasers offer high-peak-power, eye-safe output from a compact package.
  • The Aculight Argos™ optical parametric oscillator (OPO) for spectroscopy and sensing. Argos generates single-frequency, multi-watt, continuous wave (CW), continuously tunable mid-Infrared (IR) output in the 1.4 to 3.9 micron wavelength region.
  • The Aculight Telesto™ family of rugged, high-peak-power, polarized, pulsed fiber lasers with output at the 1 micron wavelength region. Telesto lasers are tailored for applications ranging from mapping, surveillance and LADAR to nonlinear optics conversion and materials processing.

Lockheed Martin Aculight will also display at Photonics West booth #1434 and BiOS booth #8317:

  • The Aculight Capella™ infrared nerve stimulator. Intended for the medical and scientific research markets, Capella provides users a new level of precision and control in nerve stimulation.

Lockheed Martin Aculight is a leader in providing quality, innovative and cost-effective laser system solutions for our customers' needs in national defense, aerospace and medical applications.
