Liquid Focus Lenses: Chance And Challenge
In this inVISION Tech Talk, our product manager Steffen Mahler discusses discusses liquid lenses and their applications in the industry.
Liquid lenses can be used for package sorting, bin picking, bottle inspection, electronics inspection, and other products that require different depths of field. The use of liquid lenses simplifies the means of focusing and is beneficial for fast refocusing into different distances.
Stefan talks about how his team designed lenses with liquid lens elements integrated into them, with a performance that is similar to prime lenses. Schneider offers four different versions of the lenses, with a larger image circle that can cover much larger sensors, making them useful for even shorter line scan sensors.
