About Photonic Sense
Photonic Sense GmbH was established in 2003 and has been a company of Jenoptik's Optical Systems division since 2006. On about 4,000 square metres the company offers production facilities for the production of germanium monocrystals up to a diameter of 500 mm and CNC processing machines for the production of optics made of germanium and silicon – from the prototype to the series product. State-of-the-art technologies, production and measurement equipment as well as the utilization of company-wide synergies round-off the offer and guarantee high product quality.

Photonic Sense GmbH is one of few companies in the world that develop and manufacture optical components made of germanium or silicon. The products are used in infrared spectral range applications, e.g. in thermographic cameras, night vision systems, fire fighting equipment and industrial monitoring cameras. They can be used as filters in analytical and measuring systems, as mirrors in IR laser systems or as windows for remote temperature measurement.
