LightWorks Optics, Inc. Names Michael Minailo As President And Chief Executive Officer
LightWorks Optics, Inc., the leading provider of advanced optical design engineering and production solutions for precision, assemblies, systems and components, has named Michael Minailo as the company's new Chief Executive Officer.
In this new role, Minailo will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for sustained growth in the aerospace and defense market segments, as well as expanded positioning in the commercial, medical device and biomedical market segments.

Minailo joins LightWorks Optics with over 20 years of executive management expertise in strategic growth and global market penetration within the life sciences and technology industries. Prior to joining LightWorks Optics, Minailo served as Managing Director for The Sun2ice Group, providing interim executive leadership to early stage and developing medical device and technology-based companies. Previously he served as President and CEO of Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc., an international medical device company that markets and manufactures Nd:Yad lasers and therapies. Minailo also held executive positions with Strategic Growth, Bergen Brunswig Medical, Cardiothoracic Systems and St. Jude Medical.
Minailo holds an MBA with a focus in marketing, finance and international business from the University of Southern California, where he also received the Albert T. Quon Award for top scholastic and academic achievement. In addition, he served on the school's adjunct faculty in Organizational Behavior and Business Management for three years.
