Ledex® & Dormeyer® Actuation Products is wholly owned by Lucas Automation and Control Engineering, Inc., and is the largest manufacturer of electromagnetic solenoid actuators in the United States and Europe. Ledex Actuation Products services over 4,000 customers annually. Our products are sold through regional sales offices, manufacturers' representatives and agents throughout North America and Europe.

In 1991, Ledex, along with several other divisions of Lucas Industries, were organized into a unified group called Lucas Control Systems. By combining the resources of these Lucas businesses, we can now provide design engineers with synergistic solutions to machine operation and control.

Ledex Actuation Products are designed, engineered and manufactured at our Lucas Control Systems facility in Vandalia, Ohio. This facility is QS9000 registered.

The standard solenoid products detailed in this catalog include rotary, tubular, open frame, magnetically latching, variable positioning and high torque/heavy duty actuators(above).

Founded in the early 1940's with the invention of the rotary solenoid by G.H. Leland, the Ledex solenoid product range has dramatically expanded over the years.

Today, we are pioneering new designs including integrated control electronics. Our solenoids are among the best mechanical actuation solutions for today's intelligent electronic world.
