Labsphere's USS-C Continuous Uniform Source Systems are floor-standing integrating sphere systems that include an integrating sphere, multiple lamps or illuminator assemblies, and associated lamp power supplies. All systems also include a monitor detector, motorized variable attenuator, photometer, and system calibration, which permit real-time monitoring of the system's luminance output. The variable attenuator provides more precise control of system output, especially at low light levels.
Labsphere's Uniform Source Systems come with software that allows the user to control on/off operation of light sources to achieve desired luminance levels. Custom software packages can be developed to allow the user to program special characteristics. Calibration is traceable tot he National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Optional calibrations include the USC-PM and the USC-SR. The USC-PM is a point-by-point luminance measurement of the exit port plane to determine uniformity. The USC-SR calibration is a spectral radiance measurement from 300 to 2400nm to determine the spectral radiance output in mW-cm2-sr-µm.
