IRCameras Announces Radiometric Capabilities Available Now In Their Scientific Cameras

Santa Barbara, CA – IRCameras (IRC), the industry's leading provider of custom high performance infrared imaging systems, announces new enhancements to their IRC800 and IRC900 scientific infrared cameras.  These products now offer radiometric capabilities that allow the user to measure temperature remotely, and with the assistance of IRC’s new software package, Thermography Suite, make critical decisions based on the information gained. Thermography Suite allows the user to identify and quantify hot spots, displaying the exact temperature of an area of interest, and includes the ability to trend changes over time. This software, coupled with IRC’s advanced digital Focal Plane Array (FPA) technology which eliminates electronic crosstalk, operates at high frame rates and has the ability to synchronize with external devices or events, makes IRC’s scientific infrared camera a market leader in temperature measurement accuracy and analytical capability. 

Developed and manufactured by the IRCameras engineering team, this new feature set also includes Global Positioning System (GPS) and IRIG-B inputs, allowing the user to accurately geolocate the camera and timestamp image data.  A Gigabit Ethernet interface has been added to facilitate both camera control and image display.  An HDMI output allows the use of standard monitors to view imagery from the camera in real-time.

These new features round out the IRC scientific camera product line and extend the number of applications for use to include machine vision, scientific applications requiring temperature measurement, target signature and research and development for sophisticated system development and testing.
