Raman spectroscopy is a non-invasive, highly sensitive technology that quantitatively probes and analyzes chemical compositions and structures without the need for sample preparation. In the past, this technology was not useful for plant-based and petroleum-based products due to their high levels of high level of fluorescence that can overwhelm Raman signals in all visible wavelengths.
