Vishay Intertechnologyd transceivers are IrDA-compliant transceivers to offer a height profile of just 1.8 mm above the printed circuit board. The new Telefunken TFDS6401 and TFDS6402 are the latest products to be offered in the ``Dracula'' package, which mounts to the edge of the board and reduces the transceiver's height. They will be used to enable infrared links among and between notebook and palmtop computers, digital still and video cameras, cell phones and pagers, and medical and industrial data collection devices. The TFDS6401 and TFDS6402 will also be used to enable exchange of files between these mobile systems and desktop computers, printers, fax machines, photocopiers, and set-top boxes.
