Infrared sources from Excelitas are employed worldwide as critical components in numerous frontline Infrared Countermeasure Systems protecting military personnel and aircraft. Our infrared sources produce intense continuous wavelength or pulsed radiant energy covering a wavelength range out to 5.0 microns.

Several standard IR source designs are available and can be readily adapted to specific power levels and electromechanical interface requirements. Customization capabilities include high temperature ceramic-to-metal sealing and emissive control for spectrally selective output, sapphire windows for their excellent IR transmission, high temperature strength, and chemical inertness, and optical coatings that achieve superior output performance in selected infrared wavelengths.
