A high-resolution image sensor for mid-infrared applications incorporates a platinum silicide Schottky barrier image sensor
A high-resolution image sensor for mid-infrared applications incorporates a platinum silicide Schottky barrier image sensor operating from 3 to 5 µm. The KIR-3900 features a 1968 x 1968 pixel detector array, with 30 µm2 pixel pitch, and a 2.5 frame per second frame rate. The device offers electronic exposure control for high-temperature scenes, and back side illumination for increased sensitivity. On-chip forward motion compensation reduces image blur.
