Industrial Grade DPSS Laser

PowerGator IR is the latest in the series of industrial grade DPSS lasers. Delivering 28W average power, the system microfabricates high-aspect-ratio features in hard materials over 1mm thick.

Short 15ns pulses improve plasma penetration while reducing heat induced affects, yielding higher quality surfaces and features deeper than long pulsed 1064nm systems. High beam quality (TEM₀₀ / near-diffraction-limited) allows excellent focusability and high fluence levels.

The hermetically sealed laser head, complete with RS 232 function control, complete hands-free operation, and remote/removable supply unit, are key industrial design elements that deliver optimal ‘process-up-time'. The product is a high power, high beam quality, industrial grade DPSS laser, suited for production environments.

The laser was developed specifically for laser micromachining small features (<50µm) with minimal recast and taper in ceramics, Silicon, and metal alloys from (0.75mm – 1.5mm thick).
