Image Sensors for Intelligent VC Cameras: CMOSIS
Vision Components recently developed two new 2.2 and 4.2 megapixel sensors for use in their VC7222 and VC7224 smart cameras, and their VCSBC622 nano RH and VCSBC6224 nano RH board level cameras. The sensors provide excellent image quality through their high resolution, high frame rate, and high light sensitivity.
CMOSIS sensor based cameras are ideal for line scan cameras that are used in high speed applications. The 2.2 MP sensor has the ability to record up to 46 images per second at 2048 x 1088 resolution. The 4.2 MP sensor can record 23 images per second at 2048 x 2048 resolution.
These image sensors are well suited for applications involving image processing, traffic monitoring, 3D scanning, motion surveillance, automotive applications, microscopy, automotive applications, and barcode and OCR recognition.
