Eastman Kodak Co.ixel solid-state image sensor has integrated functions previously unavailable on a charge-coupled device. It is a high-performance, 1000 x 1000 pixel resolution, progressive scan interline-transfer device that is driven by 5 volt timing inputs. It incorporates two vertical clock drivers to generate the proper voltages for the internal CCD gates. AN integrated fast dump driver allows an entire row of pixels to be discarded without clocking the row through the horizontal CCD register for fast readouts of sub-sampled regions. An on-chip electronic shutter driver is used for precise control of integration times and correlated double sampling circuits of the two outputs.
