To meet the challenge, Olympus Micro-Imaging offers a wide range of digital imaging and measuring solutions, including a variety of analog and digital cameras, as well as the important image analysis software to perform mission-critical tasks, such as image acquisition, specialized image processing, annotation, archiving, microscope automation and report generation.
We offer a variety of high-quality digital cameras, with pixel counts ranging from 1.3MP to 12.5MP, to suit a broad spectrum of price and performance needs.
Features & Benefits
DIGITAL CAMERAS
PixeLink The PL-A662 Color Camera is our most economical solution for flexible microscopic imaging, featuring an efficient 1.3MP CMOS sensor and FirewireTM connection. The PL-A622C version features a 2.0MP CMOS sensor. Both cameras are ideal for general brightfield microscopy use.
ALTRA20 The Altra 20 is a color CMOS 2 megapixel camera that offers an excellent cost/performance ratio; the ALTRA20 is the perfect introductory-level model for digital acquisition using light microscopes. The Altra 2 offers a 2-megapixel color camera that can provide refresh rates from 30 to 80 frames per second. This versatile product also comes with basic image storage and manipulation software to provide a simple digital imaging solution.
ColorView I / ColorView II CCD 3.2MP Cameras Available in both cooled and non-cooled versions, the ColorView I and II cameras are ideal for intermediate digital imaging applications. Perfect images, user-friendly operation and full camera control are all guaranteed when integrated with our Discover Essentials software.
ColorView III / ColorView IIIu CCD 5.0MP Cameras The ColorView III and IIIu cameras provide the extremely high resolution demanded by today's most challenging Materials Science applications. A high dynamic range, fast frame refresh rates, and superior color fidelity and contrast make these cameras an ideal choice. The entire ColorView family also integrates seamlessly into the Discover series of Image analysis software.
F-VIEW II High-Sensitivity CCD Monochrome Digital Camera The F-VIEW II Camera is ideal for acquiring images in low-light situations. Large pixel size, Peltier cooling, and 12-bit dynamic range ensure that the F-VIEW II is sensitive enough to gather accurate image information of even the weakest signals. For applications such as particle counting where no color data is required the F-VIEW provides superior performance for automated image analysis applications.
DP71 This top-of-the-line digital camera offers 12.5MP of high-resolution image acquisition with excellent color reproducibility. High sensitivity and low noise design captures detailed low light fluorescence signals.
DP12 Our basic digital camera, with a compact, easy-to-use design and sharp, 3.34MP imaging. A large LCD monitor makes on-screen image selection easy.
SOFTWARE
Discover Series Image Analysis Software Available in application-specific modules, these powerful tools perform a variety of automated tasks such as phase or particle analysis, grain-sizing and extensive measurements. Also ideal for archiving images, statistics, measurements and reports in one file for easy recall. A library of image processing tools and filters enhance the acquired images, ensuring the highest accuracy when performing these tasks.
Reports are generated with the click of a button and saved in a file format that is easily accessible to every department within your organization. NetCam feature allows any user in the world with an Internet connection to view a live image of your specimen while under the microscope. While Multiple Image Alignment allows the user to "stitch" together a montage of images in the X-Y axis, eliminating restrictions associated with the microscope's field of view, Extended Focal Imaging will eliminate boundaries associated with your microscopes depth-of-field by producing one in-focus image composed of various images throughout the z-axis. Further, Discover Series software can interface with a wide variety of motorized stages, control automated microscopes, such as the BX 61 and MX 80 and even eliminate the need to "calibrate" the image analysis software due to an extensive calibration library for Olympus microscopes that's built into the software.
analySIS® Filterinspector This software tool is a comprehensive residue analysis system for fully automated analysis, classification and documentation of filter residues. With an extremely user-friendly graphical user interface, the operator can simply click "Start", walk away, and return a few minutes later to a fully populated, accurate report conforming to ISO 4406/ISO4407, DBL 6515, or ISO 16232 standards.
