Today’s surveillance needs demand a considerable level of discrimination and require the ability to detect, recognize, and identify humans and targets of interest efficiently and rapidly. The capabilities of hyperspectral imaging (HSI) and high-definition remote sensing have positioned these technologies to meet the challenges of ground and airborne military sensing applications. This article introduces three such solutions that give military and defense organizations access to more specific battlefield information — information they can exploit to develop superior strategies against the enemy.
