Time-domain-optimized, high-speed detectors are used for those applications requiring fast time resolution, and offer guaranteed 18.5-ps full-width-at half maximum impulse responses. The detectors give clean, fast responses with minimal ringing and tails. They are ideal for time-domain applications in high-speed digital fiber-optic communication systems, including bit-error-rate testing and characterizing modulators, and other components.
The compact packaging of the detectors make them useful in laboratory investigations of data communication systems.
