High Performance Spectrometer: QE Pro
Ocean Optics’ QE Pro’s sensitivity (provided a 2D, back-thinned CCD array) and large dynamic range (~85,000 typical) make it the best-performing miniature spectrometer in its class. It’s ideal for low light level applications such as fluorescence, DNA sequencing and Raman analysis.
This spectrometer series’ configurations support the 185-1100nm wavelength range and 0.07-20nm optical resolution (dependent again on configuration). Multiple slit widths are available from 5µm-200µm. Its onboard buffer can store up to 15,000 spectra, which allows for fast and full-spectrum data acquisition. The speed in which the data is acquired helps maintain overall data integrity through buffering time stamped spectra for USB communications.
The integrated CCD detector’s temperature is controlled via TEC (thermoelectric cooling), thus reducing thermal noise and improving overall stability. The TEC in this particular spectrometer holds data stability to 4 dark counts over a 60oC in the ambient temperature range to provide its users with the high quality data.
