High Performance Lasers for Raman Spectroscopy

Raman Spectroscopy is a highly effective process used in materials analysis applications. Highly-collimated and monochromatic light sources are ideal for Raman Spectroscopy, making lasers the ideal light source for such a process. Lasers with high wavelength stability and a high level of spectral purity are most ideal for use in Raman Spectroscopy applications by providing better signal-to-noise ratio and more well-defined peaks in Raman graphs. This application note discusses the benefits of using Cobolt’s DPSS (Diode Pumped Solid State) Lasers as excitation sources in Raman Spectroscopy
