Sofradir EC introduces their infrared camera engine family featuring the full performance of the Sofradir Mars, Scorpio, and Jupiter Mercury Cadmium Telluride (MCT) focal plane arrays while offering unique flexibility to meet the needs of any application or OEM requirement. With optional optical mounts, optics, user interface panels, and housings, these high performance cooled infrared engines can be customized to meet any SWIR/MWIR/LWIR/VLWIR imaging requirement.

Sofradir EC's high performance cooled infrared engines are available in mid-format (320x256), large-format (640x512), and megapixel (1280x1024). The mid-format Mars engines have broad spectral response capabilities ranging from SWIR (800nm-2.5µm), broadband MWIR (1.5-5.1µm), MWIR (3-5µm), LWIR (7.7-9.5µm), and VLWIR (7.7-11.5µm). The Scorpio and Jupiter engines operate in the MWIR (3.7-4.8µm) region. The engines have a common connectivity and interface logic. The Mars, Scorpio and Jupiter camera engines include an integrated detector/dewar/cooler assembly (IDDCA) and electronics.

The engine electronics include camera control electronics and a cooler controller board. Sofradir EC also offers a variety of software developer toolkits (SDKs) and command software modules for further flexibility. Sofradir EC's detector and electronic assemblies have been successfully integrated into security systems, OEM systems, and soldier systems.
