Hamamatsu Offers Monochromatic UV-LED Spot Light Source For UV Curing
The Lightningcure LC-L1 provides spot-focused 365 nm irradiation with no thermal effects, and has the benefits of low power consumption and long service life.
Bridgewater, NJ Hamamatsu Corporation is offering the Lightningcure LC-L1 spot light source, which provides spot-focused monochromatic irradiation at a peak radiant wavelength of 365 nm. Its narrow radiant wavelength range (365 nm ± 5 nm) causes only a small rise in temperature on the illuminated surface, and thus makes the LC-L1 an excellent solution for curing UV-sensitive epoxies and for other applications that require intense UV irradiation (up to 2000 mW/cm2).
The LC-L1 is a continuous UV spot light source based on light emitting diode (LED) technology, which contributes to a unique set of features: compact size, low power consumption (50 VA or less), and an exceptionally long service life of 30,000 hours. The main unit supports as many as four LED heads at once, and can be programmed to produce a different irradiation pattern for each head. Light intensity and irradiation time can be programmed as desired. Options for the LC-L1 include a plug-in UV checker for checking the light output intensity, and a selection of condenser lenses for applications that require greater light uniformity. A 15-pin D-sub connector allows remote control from an external device, such as a foot pedal.
