G&H To Showcase Latest Innovations At Photonics West 2023

Source: G&H

G&H is pleased to announce that we will be attending the SPIE BiOS and Photonics West exhibitions, taking place January 28 to January 29, 2023 and January 31 to February 2, 2023 in San Francisco, CA. These premier events bring together leading companies, researchers, and experts in the photonics industry to highlight the latest advancements in technology and applications.

As a leading provider of innovative photonics solutions, G&H is excited to participate in these important events and share our latest products with attendees. Our team will be on hand to discuss our cutting-edge solutions and answer any questions attendees may have.

"BiOs and Photonics West are always highlights of the year for our company," said Stratos Kehayas, CCO of G&H. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, learn about the latest developments in the field, and showcase our own innovations to the photonics community. This year visitors will have the opportunity for a sneak preview of our two brand new Fiber-Q products: The iFiber-Q and the Fiber-Q ULTRA that offer low SWaP and ground-breaking performance. We will also be presenting progress on extremely powerful optical sources for Terabit capacity satellite links as part of the technical conference on free space optics."

G&H will be showcasing our full range of products, including our high-performance laser systems, advanced optical components, and custom photonics solutions. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about our cutting-edge research and development efforts and explore potential partnerships and collaborations.

Aerospace and Defense

Visit the Aerospace and Defense podium to see a 10x continuous ruggedized MWIR zoom lens assembly integrated into a gimbal in our aerospace and defense display area. This model is similar to those used for UAV or helicopter surveillance and demonstrates the low-SWaP (size, weight, and power) integrated payload that is critical for these types of applications.

Additionally, we will have motorized zoom hardware on display, featuring our MWIR NightCrawlIR and our newest SWIR product called FireAnt. Optical Systems Product Manager JJ Conboy will be available to provide a detailed overview of the unique benefits and features of each product and discuss how G&H can meet your optical systems needs.

Industrial and Telecom

The Industrial and Telecom sector will display a sensing subsystem as well as the components and modules that make it up. This will demonstrate our ability to provide customer-focused subsystem design, engineering, and manufacturing solutions for applications such as LIDAR and distributed fiber sensing using our DFBs, Fiber-Qs, and Erbium-doped Fiber Amplifiers specially designed for pulsed operation.

Fiber Optic Product Director Toby Reid will be on hand to discuss your subsystem challenges and explain how G&H can provide solutions in the industrial and telecom space that other providers cannot.

Life Sciences

Within Life Sciences, G&H will focus on optical coherence tomography (OCT). OCT is a rapidly growing field due to its ability to capture micrometer-resolution, two- and three-dimensional images. We will be displaying a core subsystem based on swept source OCT, with our ultra-wideband coupler at the center of the subsystem.

The model will also include a collimator, a variable optical delay line, a polarization controller, and a polarisation diverse receiver (PDR). This design illustrates our approach to working with customers to provide effective, subsystem-complete designs for manufacture and assembly (DFMA) options.

G&H will feature high resolution imaging components and subsystems including acousto-optic deflectors and acousto-optical tunable filters (AOTFs) that can be used to improve the performance of conical and multiphoton microscopy, spectroscopy, imaging. G&H is a leading provider of AOTFs, offering a range of devices covering wavelengths from the ultraviolet to the mid-infrared, with various bandwidths and diffraction efficiencies.

Additionally, G&H will display their high performing Pockels cells that are used in medical lasers for applications like laser tattoo removal. Our VP Life Sciences Lars Sandstroem and application engineer Sarah Hicks will be available to answer your questions and discuss the benefits of the solutions that G&H can provide for life sciences applications.
