G&H to Demonstrate Integrated Photonics Platforms for Scaled Deployment at SPIE Photonics West

G&H (LON: GHH), a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced photonics, optical systems, and life sciences solutions, will return to the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California, from January 20–22, 2026, to exhibit at SPIE Photonics West. The company will demonstrate how vertically integrated photonics platforms enable scalable, deployment-ready solutions across aerospace and defence, industrial and telecom, and life sciences markets.

At Photonics West 2026, attendees will engage with G&H’s latest technologies through in-depth technical discussions and application-focused conversations with its expert team. Customers and partners will explore how G&H’s vertically integrated capabilities translate advanced photonic components into reliable, system-level solutions for demanding real-world applications.

In addition, G&H will participate in the BiOS Expo from January 17–18, 2026, one of the leading exhibitions dedicated to biophotonics, biomedical optics, and imaging. Across both events, G&H will demonstrate how its acousto-optic and electro-optic technologies, fiber optics, precision optics, and integrated optical systems support the transition from photonic innovation to deployable biomedical and life-science systems.

Industrial & Telecom

G&H develops high-performance photonics solutions for industrial and telecom applications, including AI, quantum systems, and semiconductor manufacturing. Its acousto-optic devices, such as high-precision deflectors and modulators, play a key role in wafer inspection and laser processing, providing precision for cutting, drilling, marking, and measurement of complex semiconductor components.

Fiber-optic innovations include the Visible PM Coupler for high-power fiber lasers, metrology, and biophotonics applications, alongside Fiber-Q® ULTRA and polarization-diverse receivers (PDRs). Visitors will see photonic modules engineered for seamless OEM integration, supporting scalable deployment in biomedical imaging, fiber sensing, and semiconductor processing platforms.

Life Sciences

G&H delivers medtech solutions that meet the growing demands for reliability, speed, and scalability. At the event, G&H will showcase OEM photonic modules that combine fiber-optic and acousto-optic technologies, supporting Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) applications in ophthalmology, cardiology, and skin cancer screening.

As a vertically integrated partner, G&H supports life-science OEMs through design-for-manufacture-and-assembly (DFMA), engineering, testing, production, and full system integration, reducing technical risk and accelerating time to regulated deployment.

“Life-science innovation increasingly depends on photonic platforms that can move reliably from the lab into regulated clinical and diagnostic environments,” said Dr. Stratos Kehayas, President of the Photonics division at G&H. “Our role is to help customers bridge that gap - combining precision photonics with the engineering discipline and manufacturing control required for real-world deployment.”

G&H will also showcase Psyros™, a point-of-care blood analysis technology developed with Prolight Diagnostics, enabling rapid detection of acute health events such as myocardial infarctions. The demonstration highlights a user-focused, compliance-driven approach to medtech innovation.

Aerospace & Defence

G&H’s Optical Systems division continues to expand, strengthened by recent acquisitions in the UK and US, including Global Photonics, now operating as G&H Tampa. The company delivers advanced optical solutions for avionics, optomechanical assembliessighting systemsperiscopes, eyepieces, and cockpit instruments, all engineered for mission-critical environments.

“Modern defence and aerospace programs demand optical systems that are not only high-performance, but robust, manufacturable, and ready for long service lifecycles,” said Jamie Pindard, EVP of Optical Systems at G&H. “Our strength lies in combining deep optical engineering with scalable manufacturing, enabling customers to deploy trusted systems in the most demanding operational environments.”

Precision optics are enhanced through advanced manufacturing techniques, including thin-film coatings, glass molding, diamond turning, CNC polishing, and superpolishing processes such as Low Surface Roughness Polishing (LSRP), delivering optical performance and durability suitable for mission-critical environments.

At SPIE Photonics West, G&H experts will demonstrate how these solutions integrate into real-world aerospace and defence systems, highlighting capabilities, performance benefits, and long-term reliability.

Thought Leadership Session

Join Dr. Stratos Kehayas, President of Photonics at G&H, for the panel discussion “Driving Solutions for Quantum Systems” and a Q&A at the Quantum West Business Summit on January 21, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM (PST) in Room 160, Moscone South, Upper Mezzanine.

The panel will explore the evolving needs of the quantum supply chain, sharing insights from G&H and other industry leaders. Discussions will address system scalability, supply-chain readiness, and the role of standardized photonic platforms in accelerating commercial quantum adoption.
