Frequency-modulation spectroscopy (FMS) is a tool that offers high sensitivities and a simple setup, especially with tunable diode lasers. Tunable diode lasers provide a tunable output that can be modulated, and are used in the rapidly growing field of TDLAS (tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy).
