Sunex, Inc. is excited to announce the launch of a software product that manipulates optical distortion inherent in ultra-wide angle and fisheye lenses. The Sunex Dewarper Mini program is an Adobe Photoshop compatible plug-in for processing distortion taken with Sunex miniature ultra wide-angle and fisheye lenses. Unlike other distortion correction software, Dewarper Mini allows you the flexibility to manipulate any lens distortion, including Tailored Distortion™. Optical distortion is unavoidable for ultra wide-angle and fisheye lenses. Dewarper Mini remaps the pixels such that the processed image is optimized for the intended application. This software is based on a new proprietary mathematical model developed by Sunex for real-world lenses and is only available from Sunex.
The key features of Dewarper Mini include Distortion Cancellation, Distortion Tailoring, One Shot Panorama (mouse over the following image to view the output of one-shot panorama), Spherical and Cylindrical Panorama, and 360° Panorama. This unique program also allows you to digitally zoom without compromising the Field of View.
