Fiber Strippers For Industrial Applications Datasheet
Source: Laser Components USA, Inc.
Fiber strippers are required to remove the buffer or coating from the fiber. It is essential not to damage the fiber cladding in the process.
The first number in the designation stands for the diameter of the closed blades. This means that the diameter of the fiber cladding must be smaller than this diameter. The second number stands for the diameter of the front hole, i.e. the buffer diameter must be smaller than this diameter. The 125 µm version is highly precise and primarily used in telecom fibers.
All other versions are used in large-core fibers for industrial applications.
