Fiber-Optic Multiplexer: FOM
Avantes’ fiber-optic multiplexers are used to enable a single light source and spectrometer to make multi-point serial measurements. This is particularly ideal for process control applications, or other applications where multiple locations need to be measured with multiple probes, all with one spectrometer or light source.
Three different fiber-optic multiplexer configurations are available: 1 x 16 channels, 2 x 8 channels, and 4 x 4 channels. Each fiber optic multiplexer (FOM) features a precisely controlled stepper motor and a rotary block. The optical path is coupled through multiple COL-UV/VIS collimating lenses.
Full control over the switching order, switching time, and delay time are made available through the FOM software. Each multiplexer is controlled through a USB-connection to a PC. Additional information including technical data, ordering information, and available options can be accessed by downloading the available datasheet.
