Fiber Optic Illuminator

The Solarc fiber optic illuminator is a 50W metal halide fiber optic illuminator ideally suited for medical and industrial endoscopy, microscope illumination and decorative lighting applications. It offers up to five times the optical efficiency of standard halogen light sources and three times the efficiency of xenon sources.

The illuminator consists of a 229mm x 250mm x 97mm metal casing which houses a 50W Solarc bulb and all necessary control electronics and cooling components. A plug-and-play solution for light source integrators, the illuminator can also be customized to support any fiber or connector. The fiber optic illuminator's optical efficiency stems from its internal Solarc bulb's precision focus capabilities.

Powered by 100~240VAC, this portable unit can be mounted on, or in, test and inspection equipment and is rugged enough for operation in virtually any medical, scientific or industrial environment. It can project up to 1500 lumens of white light and features a bulb lifetime of 2500 hours. For easy integration into medical lighting applications the fiber optic illuminator has all relevant medical regulatory approvals.
