Datasheet: Fiber Optic Feedthrough Series

Source: Fiberguide Industries, Inc.
Fiberguide Industries offers a variety of Vacuum and Pressure Feedthroughs to meet the most demanding applications. In addition to our successful pigtailed version, we included a unique design, where the optical fibers can be disconnected at the feedthrough on both the vacuum and atmospheric sides. This is a considerable advantage when damaged or contaminated fibers need replacing.

Most types of Vacuum Feedthroughs are available for a broad spectral range and dedicated fiber sizes. Designs of cells, flanges and multiple ports may differ to customer's specifications.

To provide low optical coupling losses for single mode and polarization preserving single mode fibers, the pigtailed version is recommended. Because of alignment considerations, bundles should be vacuum pigtailed as well. All other multi mode fibers, ranging from 50mm to 1500mm, are ideal for the dismountable version designed for the standard SMA interconnection.
