Fiber-Coupled Modules

Source: DILAS
DILAS' fiber-coupled modules provide access to all sensoric options. Based on conduction-cooled, single bar fiber-coupled or conduction-cooled, multi-bar fiber-coupled diode laser modules, the compact, cost-effective packaging design and steady fiber attachments are available in a wide range of output powers and wavelengths.

Our in-house semiconductor design and highly automated volume manufacturing line enables DILAS to deliver exceptional value to a broad range of industrial laser markets making the fiber-coupled module an ideal tool for system integrators in applications such as fiber laser pumping, medical treatments, materials processing, etc.

Within the fiber-coupled module architecture, DILAS uses a polarization scrambler to achieve random polarization. With a degree of polarization at <0.1, these fiber-coupled modules enable "truly" unpolarized optical output and are ideal for a wide array of OEM pumping applications, primarily diode-pumped solid-state laser manufactures demanding increased stability for their next generation products.

Delivering superior wavelength stability with respect to temperature, current and operating hours - the DILAS' new wavelength stabilized fiber-coupled diode lasers are available starting from 25W output from a 200µm up to 400W output from a 400µm fiber core diameter (0.22NA). With narrow line width of <0.5nm at full width half maximum, the typical wavelength-temperature drift is 0.01nm per Kelvin.

High brightness and efficient fiber coupling are available for multimode fibers with core diameters of 200µm, 400µm or 600µm with a numerical aperture of 0.22 NA; and at 0.12 NA at 808nm, 800µm. Sealed housing provide a standard SMA 905 fiber connector protecting the diode laser bar and the micro optics against contamination and mechanical damage. In addition, the modules are equipped with a second user exchangeable window for use in harsh environments or in conjunction with disposable fibers.

All modules of this series are available with an optional integrated pilot beam, power meter and temperature sensors, as well as fiber detection sensors. For more information on our fibers, see Accessories.
