FED Takes on New Name; First Public Use at Display Works

San Jose, CA—At Display Works/Dappcon 2000 being held in this week in San Jose, FED Corp., a developer of microdisplays and virtual imaging products, has unveiled its new name, eMagin Corp. eMagin's virtually-large screen, high-resolution microdisplays are based on fundamental OLED (organic light emitting diode technology) technology licensed from Eastman Kodak. The products are leveraged with eMagin's own intellectual property portfolio and OLED-on-silicon technology advancements.

At the Dappcon Business Conference on Feb. 1, eMagin's CEO and president, Gary Jones, will give a brief overview of eMagin's business strategy and target markets and will serve as an invited panelist on the "Micro and Miniature Displays Panel." On Feb. 2, Jones will deliver a briefing on "the OLED phenomenon" at a press conference hosted by the United States Display Consortium (USDC) in cooperation with Stanford Resources. That same day, Dr. Amal Ghosh, senior manager of Advanced Process Development, will present an invited talk describing eMagin's strategies for developing color OLED microdisplays at the Display Works Manufacturing Technology conference.
