Fast Rotation Stages With Ultrasonic Motors
PI offers a miniature rotary stage series with ultrasonic piezo motor drives. These fast miniature rotary positioning stages feature an integrated position encoder, greater than 720o/s velocity, and an unlimited rotation range. Additionally, these stages are fast and self-locking without the need of a brake. They are ideally suited for the R&D and industrial markets requiring a sample handling and positioning solution in a limited space.
The compact design with widths of 20, 30 or 50 mm and height of only 10, 12 or 19 mm allows for easy integration into tight spaces of existing applications. With a rotation range of 360° and very quiet operation, the stages excel by their extreme dynamic range and very quick step and settle. PILine® direct drive motor is a ring-shaped compact ultrasonic drive connected to the rotational platform. It provides the positioning stage with its high velocity, and self-locking properties.
