Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifiers (EDFAs)
BaySpec offers a complete line of IntelliGain® erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFA). These EDFA modules feature fast transient response time, gain flatness, very low noise, and low power consumption. They also have a typical noise figure of less than 5.0 dB across the entire 1530 nm to 1562 nm wavelength range, and meet the Bellcore GR-1312-Core requirements.
These EDFAs are designed to meet various amplification requirements for single-channel, narrowband, and DWDM transmission in metro, long-haul, and ultra-long-haul networks, as well as test & measurement applications. IntelliGain® amplifiers contain driving and controlling electronics that are fully integrated into 120 x 95 x 13 mm3 package.
