Edmund Optics Expands Operations - Develops Alliances In South America & Mexico

Edmund Optics (EO), the premier provider of optical components, has expanded its business into the southern hemisphere, covering markets in Mexico and South America. This regional growth is in line with the company's global business strategy.

Edmund Optics has penned distribution agreements with the Brazilian company, Cidepe - Centro Industrial de Equipamentos de Ensino e Pesquisa Ltda, encompassing Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Columbia, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Uruguay, and Intecs Instrumentación S.A. de C.V. covering Mexico.

Both are well-known, established distributors in their respective venues, and will market products in the EO catalog. Both companies will also offer technical support and conduct sales in local currency and language to their customers.

Allan Kreutzer, Vice President of Global Sales, stated "Although we have been doing business and selling product in these areas, the time has come for us to develop a stronger presence in this growing marketplace. We are pleased to engage these two respected companies into the Edmund Optics global community and look forward to a mutually profitable relationship."
