Technical Guide: Reflectance Coatings And Materials
SphereOptics Standards and Targets include a selection of diffuse and spectral reflectance standards, calibrated lamp standards, and chromaticity reflectance filters.
With calibration laboratories in the US and in Europe, SphereOptics maintains working relations with the national laboratories in the US, United Kingdom and Germany.
Reflectance standards and targets
Our reflectance standards and targets are made of Zenith polymer, a highly reflecting sintered PTFE material throughout the UV, VIS and NIR wavelength ranges. The standards are available calibrated from 250 to 2500 nm with traceability to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Physikalisch Techniche Bundesanstalt (PTB). Standards are available in 1.25 or 2 inch (30 rsp.50mm) diameter. The targets are from 2x2 inch (5x5 cm) to 40x40 inch (1x1 m) for optical laboratory or field testing and remote sensing.
Diffusers
For ideally diffuse illumination a selection of diffusers in different thicknesses and sizes are available made from Zenith polymer. Thicknesses from 100, 250, 500 micron or 1 mm allow transmission levels from 50% to 6%.
Calibrated Lamp Standards
We offer a complete series of NIST traceable, precision standards for performing calibration of visible/ near infrared devices. This series includes a variety of lamps with precision-positioned filaments in medium bi-post bases. A variety of Radiance, Irradiance, Luminance, Illuminance and Color Temperature calibrations are available with traceability to NIST standards.
Chromaticity Reference Filters include a set of twenty (20) 2 inch x 2 inch (5.08 cm x 5.08 cm) acrylic filters used to provide the secondary chromaticity and transmission standards needed in photometric and colormetric laboratories.
