The DIAS Infrared PYROSPOT series 54 and 56 fixed pyrometers with IP65 stainless steel housings provide precise and fast temperature measurements in the near infrared range from 200 °C to 3000 °C. Now the series 54 and 56 include two new pyrometer types in the mid-infrared wavelength range around 5 µm, with a temperature measurement range from 100 °C to 2500 °C. The new models are specifically for application in the glass industry. Additionally, models exist for general applications in the long-wave range from 8 µm to 14 µm for measurements on non-metallic surfaces and coated materials between –40 °C and 1000 °C.

The devices have fast response times of 10 ms and a small measurement field diameter as low as 2.6 mm. All devices have an analog 0/4 to 20 mA temperature linear output, a galvanically isolated RS-485 interface with Modbus RTU protocol, and a maximum/minimum measurement storage. In addition, a switching output provides easy implementation into process measurement and control. The series 56 pyrometers incorporate a display for measured values and a keypad for parameter adjustment on the back of the device. An extensive accessory range and attractive prices are further features of the successful PYROSPOT series 54 and 56.
