Diamond Turning
Datasheet: Properties Of Materials For Spectroscopy
Spectral Systems offers diamond turning services to your most intricate design needs.
Aluminum, Copper, Zinc Selenide, Zinc Sulfide, Germanium, KRS-5 are all good candidates for your transmissive or reflective applications.
Manufacturing output from multiple diamond turning centers gives us the flexibility of working both crystalline and metal optical components. Explore the advantages of aspheric crystalline lenses made from ZnSe, KRS-5, and Ge. Off-axis parabolic mirrors, torrodial and cylindrical metal mirrors are available with coatings for the required regions of interest.
Precision to Lambda/4 P.V. and 30 Angtrom rms are achievable on Aluminum and other soft metals. Enhanced UV, Aluminum, and Gold coatings are available to complement the custom applications. Silver and Platinum coatings are also available. Plating services would be outsourced, but furnished complete to our customer.
Take advantage of high index, soft IR materials like ZnSe, KRS-5 and Ge to design aspherics to improve focusing accuracy, and critical energy gathering applications. Complementary anti-reflection coatings are also available to enhance the energy throughputs.
Work pieces up to 13 inches in diameter and 18 inches in focal length can be diamond turned to meet your most demanding design needs. All work is performed and controlled by Spectral Systems under our three manufacturing facility umbrella.
