The S1024DW Deep Well Miniature Fiber Optic Spectrometer is for applications requiring high signal-to-noise measurements such as tablet dissolution, enzyme kinetics or thin film analysis. The user can observe changes in light intensity of less than 1 x 10-5. For absorbance or transmission applications, this translates into measurement precision to the micro-absorbance unit level.
The spectrometer has a compact optical bench coupled to a 1024-element photodiode array. The detector is responsive from 200-1100 nm, has a well depth of 31 million electrons, and a single scan, single-element signal-to-noise ratio of 2500:1. The instrument can be multiplexed with up to 8 spectrometer channels, all of which operate from a single A/D converter. Multiple spectrometer channels are beneficial for experiments requiring expanded wavelength range, multiple point sampling and reference monitoring.
