Corning Expands Optical Portfolio For Advanced Microchip Manufacturing

Source: Corning Incorporated

Corning Incorporated will introduce a new product in its optical portfolio for microchip manufacturing at Photonics West 2023. Corning® Optical Grade Calcium Fluoride will debut in Corning’s booth (#1256).

While many of Corning’s advanced optics are already widely used as vital components across chip manufacturing, today Corning adds Optical Grade Calcium Fluoride for imaging applications in process control and photolithography to its portfolio.

Corning® Optical Grade Calcium Fluoride, an addition to the fluoride crystal product family for Corning, is an ultra-clear, durable crystalline material engineered to withstand and direct the short-wavelength laser light in photolithography. Corning processes the product into pre-finished blanks for lenses to enable this precise imaging.

Corning has been a leading global supplier of materials and optics for the semiconductor industry for more than 50 years. In addition to its fluoride crystals, the company produces high-quality materials like Corning® HPFS® Fused Silica (High Purity Fused Silica), and Corning® ULE® Glass (Ultra-Low Expansion Glass), as well as precision inspection optics and Tropel® wafer metrology tools.

Corning will showcase additional product lines at Photonics West, including precision optics, metrology instruments, augmented reality solutions, wafer-level optic solutions, Corning Laser Technologies, hyperspectral imaging, specialty fiber, Corning® Varioptic® Lenses, custom glass solution, specialty glass, and glass ceramics.
