Colorado MicroDisplay Inks Supply Deal With Hana Microdisplay

Colorado MicroDisplay Inc.o position itself in the mobile internet, mobile computing, entertainment and digital imaging markets, <%=company%> (CMD; Boulder, CO) has signed an agreement with Hana Microdisplay Technology Inc. (HMTI; Twinsburg, OH) for that company to provide CMD with microdisplays for headsets and viewfinders. CMD is a fabless display manufacturer; under the terms of the agreement, HMTI will manufacture, assemble, test, and package CMD microdisplays at its Twinsburg, OH facility.

The three-year agreement is slated to produce up to 500,000 displays per year, and includes expansion options for the HMTI Thailand and China facilities as demands warrant.

HMTI has been working with CMD since early 1999 to bring products to mass production. After opening the facility in August 1999, the company has made multi-million dollar investments in capital equipment, including automated test and inspection equipment custom developed by CMD.
