Our affordable new KestrelSpec Echelle Spectroscopy System* combines an innovative cross-dispersing echelle type spectrograph with KestrelSpec Echelle software. The powerful system produces high resolution over the entire UV-NIR spectral region without scanning! Cooled CCD cameras can be supplied with the system or in many cases existing CCD cameras can be interfaced to the SE 200.

KestrelSpecTM Imaging Spectroscopy software, originally introduced for the Macintosh by Rhea Corporation, has been an industry standard for nearly 10 years. KestrelSpec for Windows was first introduced by CSC in early 1996. It provides analysis features plus integrated camera control for numerous high performance cooled, CCD cameras. The software controls grating selection, slit width, and wavelength scanning for supported spectrographs. KestrelSpec has many features not found in other spectroscopy software including "1-Point" KestrelCalTM auto wavelength calibration. A new addition is KestrelTempTM, which is an automated technique for determining the temperature associated with a black body spectrum. KestrelSpec Imaging Spectroscopy systems include camera, software and spectrograph control for supported spectrographs.

We supply imaging systems ranging from 16-bit dynamic range cooled, slow-scan 4K x 4K pixel CCD cameras to 10-bit dynamic range 256 x 256 pixel CCD cameras operating at 1 million frames/sec.
