Canon DC Brushless Servo Motors: Powerful Precision In A Petite Package

By Koji Mizobata, Canon

canon1

DC brushless servo motors serve a range of roles in both medical and non-medical applications. Canon’s proprietary high-density, high-space-factor coreless coil, combined with a high-performance multipolar neodymium magnet, allows for high-power output in a small package. The motors’ low-inertia inner rotor structure allows for quick response to inputs, as well as high positioning accuracy. Each motor’s combination of low cogging, low torque ripple, and an embedded magnetic encoder allows for repeatable, precision control of the motor’s speed and positioning angle.

With deep expertise and experience in DC Brushless servo motors, Canon can help clients to select the optimal motion control solution — or solutions, in cases where several may be necessary — for their application. We also can customize motor performance and form based on a customer’s needs. Specifically, Canon can change the voltage, rotation speed, and output shaft length of a motor to meet customer specifications. The option exists to change gears or circuits, as well.
