Boston Laser Inc. was formed in January 2000 and we acquired the Laser Diode Division of Polaroid Corporation. Polariod Laser Diode is a leader in the design and manufacture of high power laser diodes since 1986. With our new resources, we can now offer a complete range of laser diode based products, including power supplies and systems. Our mission is to provide products based on high brightness laser diodes.

Boston Laser specializes in high brightness high power laser diode components and systems. We provide diodes at 808nm, 915nm and 980nm that output 20mW of optical power per micron of aperture width, twice the industry standard. Also, Boston Laser uses patented beam combining optics to provide free space (up to 50W) and fiber coupled output (up to 40W) from several individual diodes, the brightest high power diode sorce commercially available. These sources are ideal optical pumps for fiber lasers and fiber amplifers.
