New Focus, Inc. introduces three photodetectors: a large-area (8 mm) photoreceiver, a femtowatt receiver, and a nanosecond photodetector. The large-area photoreceiver is designed with a slim-profile to allow quick move-in and move-out of the beam path, and the large detector simplifies alignment. The femtowatt photoreceiver provides a gain of 102 V/W making them ideal for low-light or even fluorescence detection. The nanosecond photodetector is more convenient than building one from scratch.
