Basler racer Line Scan Cameras Now With 6k, 8k, And 12k Resolution

At this year’s VISION show in Stuttgart, digital camera specialist Basler is introducing further racer line scan camera models with resolutions of 6k, 8k, and 12k.Together with their 2k and 4k racer models, Basler’s racer line scan family covers the whole spectrum of standard line scan cameras.

Basler racer cameras have a small footprint – just 56 mm wide and 62 mm high; they produce excellent images, and are very attractively priced. They are available with either a Gigabit Ethernet or a Camera Link interface, and offerextraordinary line rates. The 8k model with a Camera Link interface even reaches a line rate of up to 80 kHz.Highly sensitive CMOS technology provides for excellent image quality, low noise characteristics, and a quantum efficiency of approx. 60%.What’s more, the CMOS sensors use very little power. Their innovative heat-dissipation concept allows the cameras to stay much cooler than comparable line scan cameras, and gives a better image as well.

Ideal Fit for Inspection of Continuous Materials

With the new 6k, 8k, and 12k racer models, users from many different markets and applications will easily find a racer camera for their needs.Basler’shigh resolution racer cameras are especially suitable for inspection of continuous materials, such as in web inspection, flat panel display inspection, and solar inspection.

Further Models withPoCL

The 2k and 4k Camera Link models feature Power over Camera Link (PoCL), with data and power carried by the same cable. This reduces costs for accessories and system complexity, and creates a simpler, more reliable system. In addition, Mini Camera Link accessories are becoming less expensive than regular Camera Link equipment, which allows costs to drop even further, especially in larger systems.
