AvaFast Series - Ultra-fast Spectrometers For Laser And Other High Speed Applications

Avantes, a leader in the field of fiber optic spectroscopy, is pleased to announce the release of our new AvaFast series spectrometers for high speed applications such as pulsed laser applications in the UV/VIS and NIR (200-1100 nm). The AvaFast series is designed to optimize the speed of the spectral acquisition or integration time. The AvaFast series will be offered in several standard configurations, but custom configurations will also be available. The initial four configurations released for the AvaFast Series are as follows:

The ultrafast integration times supported by the AvaFast Series also require ultrafast data storage capability which Avantes delivers through our unique Store to onboard RAM capability. Using our Store to Ram capability the AvaFast Series is able to store up 5637 spectra on board depending upon the chosen configuration. For all models, start/stop pixels can be set in our software to increase the number of scans stored on board over a shorter wavelength.

The AvaFast Series is typically configured in CR (continuous run) mode in which a single external trigger results in a continuous scan of spectra up to the user-defined number of scans but can also be configure in SS (single scan) mode in which a single spectrum is acquired per external trigger.
